Intro
I'm currently weighing in at a whopping 292 lbs. At least that's what that scale shot back at me this morning. Its very frustrating to me as I've been watching my portions and exercising much more for the past three weeks, yet those numbers don't seem to move. Because of my tall frame 5'9" I can handle the weight better than some ladies, but 300lbs is still way too much.
I have made a goal of 10,000 steps a day and I've been hitting that mark or close to it for the past 2 weeks. However, its not enough. I need to start hitting the YMCA a few times a week and do some weight training and maybe some swimming. Everything I've been reading is pointing out that you have to do the weight training, the cardio, the diet. Its all tied together. And even though I absolutely detest it, I have to log my food. It works, I know that, I just hate having to write everything down, it just sucks.
My goal is to get my BMI down so I can have surgery done on a hiatal hernia. It started out looking like a little bloating and now its this protruding bump on my stomach that makes me look pregnant. While its not actually hurting or bothering me physically, its bothering me mentally and I know that it will wear me down if I don't do something about it.
I have a doctor's appointment in a week to discuss some nutritional guidelines, exercise guidelines and options on what to do about trimming down quicker to I can take care of this hernia. My hopes is to post everyday.
